What is a
sitemap?
Site map gives your customers
a global overview of your web site. It also gives
your viewer a look at how your web site is organized. A site map can be
graphical or just plain text. A typical map would have the names of your page titles,
or categories, along with the subject matters under the respective title or category.
Note: Every 'title' on site map is linked to its respective page.
What is a
banner ad?
A banner ad is a means of
advertising a product or service to draw the customer's
attention further into your web site if the viewer clicks on it. A banner ad usually
appears near the top of a host page or along the left side margin of the page.
Banner ads can come in different sizes: button ads and banner ads.

What is a
navigation link?
This is a hypertext tag that,
once selected, takes the viewer to the page
associated with the link. A typical link is underlined.
What is a
JPEG?
(Joint
Photographic Experts
Group)
is a graphics file format. As the
name
indicates, this format is best used for photographs, or for images that have
subtle color changes, depth, lighting effects, or other gradations of color or tone.
What is a
GIF?
(Graphics
Interchange
Format) is also a graphics file format, but
is best
used for images with large areas of solid color, such as simple illustrations,
logos, text as graphics, etc.
What is a
image map?
Most typical image
maps are graphical and they have several different links within the
graphic. In Internet terminology, a link within a image map is considered a 'hot spot',
or different invisible buttons you can click on to go to an assigned page.
