Chandos Designs: WEB DESIGN-Aimee

Chandos Designs was invited in December of 1998 to participate in a web contest, held in Rome, Italy.

The purpose of the contest was a subset of a much larger event, which was the ECSE [E-Commerce Summit Expo]. The event was staged to help European Marketing Directors and IT Project Managers learn how to better utilize the Internet and promote their wares.

Chandos Designs was invited by Phebe Archer, to participate in the Website Building program. We competed with several companies from England, Germany and Italy. The program involved taking the current ECSE website, and recreate the look and feel.

Phebe has spent 15 years in Rome organizing seminars for entrepreneurs plus business lunches and dinners for executives and commercial diplomats. In the early nineties, she published Doing Business in Rome with the US & Foreign Commercial Service, American Embassy - Rome and in the two subsequent years, Business Guide to Italy.

In October 1998, Phebe co-chaired Y2K & Euro Summit in Rome.

Increasingly committed to raising awareness of the uses of Internet for establishing a presence on Internet, Phebe began organizing E-Commerce Summit in January 1999 order to bring to Rome leading experts from Europe, the USA and Canada to speak to executives about all aspects of doing business on Internet.

Her areas of major interest and expertise are: website interactivity, building customer relations online, customer service online, web promotion and Internet Marketing.
